In advancing climate governance, UNIC’s Board of Directors serves as the highest oversight and guidance body, responsible for reviewing and directing climate change strategies, action plans, and annual targets. The Board mandates the Audit Committee and the designated functional unit, the Sustainability Development Task Force, to implement related governance measures. Climate change issues are incorporated into the Company’s organizational management systems, with continuous oversight of the identification and management of climate-related risks and opportunities.
Under the Sustainability Development Task Force, functional sub-teams carry out their respective responsibilities, including the collection of climate-related risk information, risk management assessments, maintenance of environmental management systems, and compliance with applicable environmental regulations and international standards. These matters are discussed through regular and ad hoc meetings as appropriate.
